Former England Cricketer Andrew Flintoff gets hospitalized after a tragic car crash. The former cricketer was shooting for BBC’s TV Show ‘Top gear’ at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey on Monday when the mishap happened.
“Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning – with crew medics attending the scene immediately,” the BBC said in a statement. “He has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course.”
As per the report in the Sun, Flintoff’s injuries are not so serious & he was driving the car at a normal speed on the driving track. The report claimed that usual health & safety measures were taken into account while shooting the episode. He was transported to the hospital by air ambulance after the incident & the shooting has been postponed & they will not conduct any shooting until he recovers fully.
This is not the first time that Andrew Flintoff has faced a car accident. Back in 2019, the former England all-rounder met a mishap while shooting for the same show. But despite driving at the speed of 125mph, he walked away from the mishap safely. His destiny is in his favor as he walked away safely twice from an accident & got saved from a life-threatening accident.
One of the best all-rounders of England Andrew Flintoff had featured in 79 Tests, 141 ODI & seven T20Is for the National team amassing 7,315 runs & scalping 400 wickets across all formats. Flintoff who played an integral role in England’s victories in Ashes 2005 & 2009 was still a part of the game in 2010. After retiring from International cricket he returned to domestic format playing for Lancashire in the T20 Vitality Blast followed by his stint for Brisbane Heat in 2014. His stint in Television Programmes began after he retired from all forms of cricket.
