The match unfolded with Adelaide Strikers batting first & suffering an early jolt with Weatherland getting dismissed right in the first over of their innings. However, after their dismissals, Adam Hose carried ahead their innings by amassing 40 runs off 22 balls. In the chase of 187 runs, Sixers got off to a disastrous start as they lost their openers within the powerplay overs, reducing their scoreboard to 11-2 in 3 overs. The sixers were in need of a stable stand & Josh Philippe & Moises Henriques exactly did that by stitching a valuable 50-run stand. Philippe scored 26 runs off 23 balls with two fours while Henriques too supported him by scoring 24 runs off 29 balls. However, they couldn’t convert their good starts into big scores & were dismissed in the 9th & 17th over reducing the Sixers to 72-4.

After their dismissals, Jordan Sold took the reins of Sixers in his hands & scored 36 runs off 25 balls in an innings embellished with five fours. Daniel Christian (13 off 18 balls) & Hayden Kerr (13 off 9 balls) too played brief cameos to keep Sixers’ scoreboard ticking. However, it was not enough as wickets kept falling at regular intervals & in the end, their innings were wrapped for 133 runs in 20 overs registering a massive 54-run win. For Strikers, Henry Thornton starred with the ball by returning with figures of (4-20) Rashid Khan too supported him by scalping three wickets for 21 runs.
