BCCI Cricket Operations Chief Saba Karim is asked to “Resign” from his post!

Saba Karim who has played One Test match & 34 ODIs for team India was appointed as the BCCI General Manager of Cricket Operations in December 2017.

Former Indian Wicket-keeper Saba Karim is asked to resign from its post of the BCCI General Manager Cricket Operations in December 2017. The Board has not issued a formal statement on the matter but it is found out that the Board was not satisfied with Karim’s planning for domestic cricket. “Yes, he has been asked to resign. One of the reasons for that is that he was not able to prepare any tangible action plan for domestic cricket (in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic),” a BCCI source told the media.

Domestic Cricket is unlikely to start before December with the COVID-19 cases on a continuous rise in the country. If the IPL 2020 will happen in September-November as speculated by the board then the domestic cricket trophies cannot be played at the same time. This development came after the BCCI CEO Rahul Johri’s sudden resignation has been accepted by the Board earlier this month.

The BCCI Officer Santosh Rangnekar had also resigned last year after the new office-bearers headed by Sourav Ganguly took the charge.
