The BCCI is planning to conduct the IPL 2023 auction in mid-December this year. Probably the IPL 2023 auction will be conducted on December 16. The tentative schedule of the IPL 2023 has been communicated by the BCCI to the franchisees during informal conversations with the franchise owners.
Though IPL 2023 Auction will be a mini-auction, the venues for the IPL 2023 Auction haven’t been revealed yet. BCCI has also maintained silence on the dates of IPL 2023 but as per reports, it will probably start in the fourth week of March in the home & away format.
For IPL 2023 Auction the franchisees will have a pure of INR 95 crore which is 5 crores more than last year’s auction. The purse will further increase if the franchisees release or trade any of its players ahead of the auction.
Meanwhile, since IPL 2022 there have been reports of a rift between CSK management & Ravindra Jadeja. Due to the rift, there have been speculations that Ravindra Jadeja would either be traded or released by the franchise.
There have been rumors about a suggested trade between CSK & Gujarat Titans for Jadeja & Shubman Gill. However, both parties have put an end to the rumors by denying the reports of a trade-off. Looking at Jadeja’s blistering form many other franchisees, including Delhi Capitals, have made requests for a trade of Jadeja. But the CSK management has made it clear that they are in no mood to release Jadeja. The transfer/trade window will stay open till one week before the auction & will re-open after it.
