Buttler fired all cylinders by smashing deliveries across the park. Malan’s dismissal didn’t let Buttler’s intent down as he continued to go strong with the bat. Buttler got valuable support on the other end in face of Livingstone who brought up his half-century in just 17 balls which marked the second-fastest fifty in the history of ODI Cricket.

However, their happiness couldn’t stay for long as Moeen Ali got the better of Musa Ahmed in the 17th over followed by Max O Dowd who was cleaned up by R Topley after scoring 55 runs off 55 in the 18th over. Cooper and de Leede got starts but couldn’t convert it into big scores.
Netherlands lone fighter Scott Edwards stayed till the end & went ahead to play an unbeaten knock of 72 runs in 56 balls. However, he couldn’t guide the Netherlands to laurels of success as wickets kept falling at regular intervals. For England, Moeen Ali scalped 3 wickets, while Willey, Topley, and Curran picked 2 each.
