IND vs ENG 2nd Test, Live Cricket Score: India reaches 181/6 at Stumps on Day 4!

Live Cricket Score: India Vice-Captain Ajinkya Rahane & Cheteshwar Pujara were in a good form on Day 4 as they kept India in-game after losing their wickets to English bowlers in the ongoing India vs England Lord’s Test on Sunday.

At Stump’s, India’s score read 181/6 after 82 overs were bowled in the second innings, leading England by 154 runs. India’s wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant with unbeaten 14* & Ishant Sharma with unbeaten 4* are unbeaten at the crease ahead of the final day of India vs. England lord’s Test. Resuming the innings from 105/3, Rahane’s catch was dropped on 31 after he hit a cut short from Moeen Ali’s delivery that went into the hands of Bairstow however he couldn’t have a grip of the ball & it split out of his hands.

In the 72nd over of the innings, Mark wood struck to remove Pujara with an unplayable delivery. Pujara & Rahane put on 100 runs for the 4th wicket. However, Pujara was just five runs short of his half-century as he was dismissed for 45 runs off 206 balls. Soon Ali caught Rahane to turn the momentum of the match in the host’s favor. Ajinkaya Rahane was dispersed for 61 runs off 146 balls. All-rounder Jadeja’s stay at the crease was reduced by Moeen Ali as India’s situation got bad from worse in a short span of time. After both the team players had chat about the state of the light at Lord’s, the gameplay for Day 4 was called off.

Before the wicketless second session, England had a good start to Day 4 as pacer Mark Wood removed visitor’s openers, Rohit Sharma & KL Rahul, while sam Curran sent Virat Kohli back to the pavilion to put India on a backfoot. KL Rahul & Rohit Sharma together put on 18 runs for the first wicket but soon the flourishing partnership was broken by Mark Wood in the 10th over who sent KL Rahul back to the pavilion for just five runs.

Rohit Sharma (21) might have hit Mark Wood for a six while playing a full short but the same shot had resulted in his dismissal & India was soon lagging with 27/2. Later Sam Curran sent Indian Captian Virat Kohli back to the pavilion for 20 runs.
