IND vs ENG: After going wicketless in the WTC final, Jasprit Bumrah returned back to from by dismissing Rory Burns off the first ball in the very first over to give India an early breakthrough at Trent Bridge. Bumrah bowled three outswingers & then followed it up with quick incoming delivery to caught Rory Burns in front of the stumps.

Rory Burns went for a review but it ended up as an umpire’s call & that confirmed an early wicket for India. The pacer used his unique bowling angle effectively to scalp his first wicket on the England tour. In today’s match, Jasprit Bumrah is bowling a full-length delivery which has helped him to regain his form.

The Indian team management decided to rest Ashwin as they aimed to field the best & balanced XI for the first test against England. Ravichandran Ashwin was in good form as he registered a six wickets haul for Surrey club in the county game. But to maintain balance on the green pitch of Trent Bridge Ashwin had to be left out of the Playing XI.

India has selected Shardul Thakur as the fourth seamer, capability to bat will help India on Trent Bridge’s green surface. Siraj’s superior pace attack has helped him to book a spot in the Playing XI.  Jasprit Bumrah & Mohammed Shami will continue to lead India’s pace attack.

Currently, visitors are looking in great form as Mohammed Siraj & Jasprit Bumrah has scalped one wicket each to reduce England to 61/2 at lunch. Joe Root & Dom Sibley is on crease & will resume hosts innings after the lunch break.
