India’s pacers hit the nets on Thursday ahead of the first test against England. Indian team pacers will try to give their best performance & help India to clinch the upcoming test series against England.
One of the main challenges for Indian team pacers is to maintain their fitness as many players were injured during the Australia tour earlier this year. Mohammad Shami will be aiming to achieve the feat of the 200th test wicket in the upcoming series. He has scalped 184 wickets in 51 test matches whereas Bumrah requires 17 wickets to complete his count of 100 test wickets.
The BCCI shared the pictures of India’s net sessions & captioned them as “#TeamIndia bowlers having a go at in the nets ahead of the #ENGvIND Test series.”

Meanwhile what comes as a shocker for India’s tets squad is that their injury replacements Prithvi Shaw & Suryakumar Yadav’s tour of England is in doubt after they were deemed as close contacts of COVID-19 positive Krunal Pandya. A top BCCI Official had a talk with media on Thursday & indicated the possibility of naming replacements for Suryakumar & Prithvi Shaw.
“We can’t say anything with certainty at this stage. We have to observe them for the next couple of days to decide – whether to announce new replacements or not,” the BCCI official stated.
India will lock horns with England in the five-match test series starting from 4th August.
