IND vs SA 2021, 2nd Test: The second game of the three-match test series between South Africa & India will be played at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg from Janaury 3. India is currently leading the series by a 1-0 margin & will be looking ahead to seal the series by clinching the second test.
We witnessed fierce competition between bat & ball in the first test at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. India batted first & posted a mammoth 327 on board, thanks to a scintillating ton from KL Rahul. He was well supported by Mayank Agarwal & Ajinkya Rahane. Meanwhile, for the Proteas squad, Lungi Ngidi starred with the ball by scalping six wickets.
South Africa innings were wrapped up on 197 thanks to a five-wicket haul from Mohammed Shami. With a handsome lead of 130, India started their secodn innings & was knocked out on 174 as hosts bounced back with a sharp bowling attack for Indian batsmen. However, South Africa’s batsmen failed to capitalize on a good start with the ball & were bowled out on 191, falling short of 113 runs.
Temba Bavuma alone starred with the bat for the Proteas squad in both the innings. The Indian pacers created havoc with the ball to help their team to clinch an early win in the first test. The second test is viewed as a golden opportunity for the “men in Blue’ to clinch away the series.
Virat Kohli & Co will try to seal the series by winning the second test at their favorite Wanderers stadium where they haven’t lost a single match yet. Meanwhile, South Africa will hope to make some necessary amendments in their game strategy & win the second test to keep themselves alive in the series.
