IND vs SA 2022: The Odisha Association has allowed a 100% Capacity Crowd for the second T20I of the IND vs SA T20I series which is scheduled on June 12 at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.
“The match will be played with 100 percent spectators capacity, as Odisha Government has allowed hosting the match in full seating strength,” informs Sanjay Behera, Secretary, OCA Behera stated that “Comprehensive arrangements have been made to the smooth and successful conduct of the event in collaboration with, State government, police department, and other stakeholders.”
“The T20 match between India and South Africa will be played under newly installed LED Flood Light (first LED Sports Flood Light in Odisha) and newly laid Sand Based Outfield at Barabati Stadium.”
“The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) will be using a full ground cover for this match which will cover the entire field of play. This has been imported from the United Kingdom, In this match, OCA will be utilizing two Australian super soppers.”
The Odisha Cricket Association has also developed two brand new dressing rooms of International standards with all modern facilities for the teams.
Indian Team’s Injury Update
Indian team players including the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Chahar & Harshal Patel all are injured & are recovering from their respective injuries. While Ravindra Jadeja & Suryakumar Yadav is likely to be fit on time for the England tour, Deepak Chahar continues to be out of action as he is still recovering from his back injury & is likely to miss another two months of action.
Washinton Sundar & T Natarajan will be available for both the South Africa T20I series & India tour of England 2022 after displaying good performances in the IPL 2022. However, the duo will appear for a fitness Test after the IPL 2022 campaign. Washington Sundar will be rested for the South Africa series while Natarajan is set to play in South Africa series. On the other hand, Prithvi Shaw is also recovering from Typhoid & his availability is subjected to his fitness test results.
India will lock horns with South Africa in a five-match T20I series to be played from June 9 to 19. India’s T20I squad will arrive at the NCA Bengaluru for a short camp on June 4 before the start of the T20I series. India T20I team will then fly to Delhi for the first T20I on June 9. After the completion of the first T20I, both the team will then depart for Bhubaneshwar on June 10 for the second T20I.
