IND vs SL: The rising bright sun has welcomed the Indian players on the crease with wide-open arms. Finally, the Indian team has completed its mandatory quarantine period & has kick-started its training sessions ahead of the limited-overs series.
Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid said that it is great that team India has come out of quarantine & has finally hit the grounds ahead of the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka. The Indian team has spent around 14 days in Quarantine in Mumbai & on arriving in Sri Lanka the visitors have further spent three days in hard quarantine.
“It has been nearly 17-18 days that we have been in some sort of quarantine. Really good for the boys to get out & just get moving a little bit. A nice little area in front of the lawn we practice tomorrow, we have an open space”, said Dravid in a video posted on the BCCI official website.

Taking about coming out of quarantine & starting with training, pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar said, “Everyone was excited to come out, fun activities are happening. Everyone is enjoying it, this is the first day that we have gotten out & it is important that the team bonding happens”.
India’s white-ball squad has completely its quarantine period on Thursday 1st of July & has trained for the first time in Colombo on Friday. Tema India is gearing up for the upcoming limited-overs series against Sri Lanka by starting its practice sessions in Colombo.
Sri Lanka will come into a face-off with India in three ODIs & three T20Is starting from July 13. Shikhar Dhawan will lead India’s white-ball team while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been named as the vice-captain of the Indian team. The limited series Indian squad which is currently based in Colombo will be coached by NCA head Rahul Dravid.
The players like Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan & Suryakumar Yadav are included in India’s white-ball squad. Many more young players are named for India’s limited-overs series & they are eagerly looking forward to making a debut for India.
