India vs England Lord’s Test: Kohli & Anderson engages in a heated Verbal Exchange

Indian Captain Virat Kohli & legendary pacer James Anderson were seen engaged in a heated conversation during ongoing India vs England Lord’s Test.

Virat while batting at No 10 was heard saying to Anderson that the pitch is not “his backyard” as Anderson was running in the middle of the pitch. Other fans also heard Virat Kohli giving it back to James Anderson for swearing at Jasprit Bumrah & commenting on his age.

This is a video of one of the exchanges & some tweets that fans heard from the live streaming of the India vs England Lord’s test.

Virat Kohli & heated on-field exchanges are not a new thing in the history of World Cricket but this is the first time that Virat had a heated conversation with James Anderson in their years-long history of playing in front of each other.

The pacer dismissed Kohli easily in the first test but Indian Captain Virat Kohli looked comfortable against Anderson during his short stay at Lord’s. Anderson also received some warnings by the umpires during the match for running in the middle of the pitch. Bumrah had bowled a fiery spell to Anderson on Saturday which consists of bouncers & yorkers which had resulted in few on-field conversations between the players of the two teams.

Meanwhile, Virat despite looking at his best in the second innings failed to convert his start into a big score & got out for 20 after having a heated exchange with Anderson. He hit four boundaries before hitting a wide ball off Sam Curran’s delivery & gave an outside edge to the wicket-keeper. The match looked exciting at lunch with India leading by 29 runs with Cheteshwar Pujara & Ajinkya Rahane standing at the crease. However, a heated exchange between two of the most crucial players of their teams has set the stage for an enthralling test series.
