Indian Captain Virat Kohli was fully charged both on & off-field during the India vs England Lord’s test on day five. The captain cheered from the Lord’s balcony as Mohammed Shami & Jasprit Bumrah frustrated England bowlers by stitching an 89 run stand for the ninth wicket. The Indian captain was at his best on the field as he guided his troops to perfection during England’s run chase. Mohammed Shami & Jasprit Bumrah starred with the bat & was successful in frustrating England’s bowlers. The duo guided India to a decent total of 298/8 at Lunch on day 5. After lunch, India decided to declare their innings in the second session, giving England a target of 272 runs to win the test match.
Before the start of England’s second innings at Lord’s, Virat Kohli heard motivating his teammates with some roaring lines in the team huddle. The Indian captain asked his teammates to ensure that England’s batsmen fell like “hell” for the remaining sixty overs left in the day. “For 60 overs they should feel hell out there,” he was heard saying in the team huddle.

And Virat Kohli’s fiery words worked out in a positive way for England who couldn’t survive the full sixty overs on day five & was wrapped out inside 52 overs to suffer a demeaning 151 run defeat at the Lord’s Cricket Ground. After impressing with the bat, Bumrah & Shami excelled with the ball & got rid of both the England openers Dom Sibley & Rory Burns on ducks to give India a stunning start.
Ishant Sharma then removed Haseeb Hameed (9) & Jonny Bairstow (2) in quick succession to leave England struggling at 67/4. Bumrah then grabbed the prized wicket of Joe Root who was caught by Kohli at the slips after scoring 33 off 60 balls as England lost the plot. Mohammed Siraj ran through England’s lower order to ensure a historic win for England.
