Pakistan squad for England tour will quarantine in Derby

Pakistan vs England: Pakistan squad will assemble for the England & West Indies tours on June 20 in Lahore where they will undergo isolation in a hotel room for five days. Pakistan is slated to play three T20Is & three ODIs against England & five T20Is & two test matches against West Indies.

The first COVID-19 testing of the Pakistan team will be done on June 16 in their homes. On their arrival in the bio-bubble of Lahore on June 20, another COVID-19 test will be conducted. “Squad members will undergo their next COVID-19 test on June 23 after which they will leave for Manchester on June 25 via chartered flights from Lahore”, the PCB said in an official statement.

According to the PCB, the remaining players of the England tours who are currently playing in PSL 6 in the UAE will join the touring squad from Abu Dhabi. They will travel from Abu Dhabi to Manchester in a chartered flight.

Further on reaching Manchester, the Pakistan squad will travel to Derby on June 25 where they will undergo strict 10 days of quarantine. All squad players will stay in complete room isolation for the first three days but after three days they will be allowed to train for the next seven days of isolation. After completing their 10 days isolation in Derby, Pakistan’s squad will then travel to Cardiff whether they will play the first ODI against England on the 8th of July.

On the completion of the three-match ODI series against England, the players of the ODI squad will travel back to Pakistan on July 15. Pakistan squad will then travel to West Indies on July 21 where they will be joined by the players of the test squad who will reach West Indies on July 26.

The five-match T20I series between Pakistan & West Indies will commence from July 27 to August 3 after which the T20I squad will return back to Pakistan. Pakistan’s squad will travel back home on the eve of August 25 after completing the two-match test series which will be played at Sabina Park, Kingston from August 12 to August 24.
