Sarah Glenn & Freya Davies released from England Women’s Test Squad against India


Sarah Glenn & Freya Davies were released from England Women’s Test squad ahead of the one-off test match against India.

India Women’s team & England Women’s team will lock horns in a four-day test match starting from June 16. Then both the teams will come into a face-off in three-match ODIs starting from June 27 with the matches to be played at Bristol, Taunton & Worcester.

Both Sarah Glenn & Davies will now feature for regional teams in this Weekend’s Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy matches to prepare for the ODI series against India.

“Sarah Glenn & Freya Davies have been released from the England Women’s Test Team & both the players will play for their regional teams in this weekend’s Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy matches with the view of preparing for the ODI series that follows”, ECB tweeted.

India & England will lock horns in three T20Is starting from July 9 & the three matches will be played at Northampton, Hove & Chelmsford. The ECB on Wednesday confirmed that Central Sparks seamer Emily Arlott received his first international call-up for the upcoming one0off Test match against the Indian Women’s team starting from June 16.

Arlott has scalped hat-trick wickets in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy at the weekend, while South East Stars Captain Tash Farrant has also been included in the 17 members of England’s squad for the one-off test match.

England’s 17 Players Squad:

Heather Knight (Captain), Emily Arlott, Tammy Beaumont, Katherine Brunt, Kate Cross, Sophia Dunkley, Sophie Ecclestone, Georgia Elwiss, Tash Farrant, Amy Jones, Nat Sciver, Anya Shrubsole, Mady Villiers, Fran Wilson, Lauren Winfield-Hill.
