Pakistan’s star pacer Hasan Ali on Wednesday completed his 50 T20I International wickets to become the third-fastest Pakistani bowler to achieve the remarkable feat. The pacer reached the milestone when he scalped the wicket of Ewin Lewis in the first T20I against West Indies
By scalping Lewis wicket Hasan becomes the ninth Pakistani pacer to take 50 T2-0I wickets. Shahid Afridi, Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hafeez, Shadab Khan, Sohail Tanvir, and Imad Wasim are the other bowlers who have scalped 50 wickets in the T20 format of cricket.
Hasan has completed 50 test wickets in 38 matches to become the third-fastest Pakistani bowler to achieve this remarkable feat. Former pacer Umar Gul holds the record of achieving this milestone in 36 matches. Hasan Ali becomes the tenth fastest bowler to reach 50 T20I wickets milestone
Meanwhile in Pakistan vs West Indies first T20I rain plays the spoilsport as the match was abandoned midway. Shedding some light on the first T20I, sudden drizzles started just moments after the national anthems were sung & rain continued for another two & a half hours before the game can be finally played. However, a nine-over per side match was declared due to the short span of time. After electing to bowl first Pakistan team were successful in keeping the Windies restricted at 85/5 in their nine overs with Hasan Ali being the pick of the bowler by scalping 2/11 from his two overs allotment. The West Indies team will look forward to bouncing back in the second T20I here at the Providence Stadium, Guyana on Thursday.
