Batting first, England was able to post a mammoth 221 runs total on board. Thanks to the power-hitting displayed by England batters.

England got off to a good start with Will Jacks & Salt going blastic right from the beginning of their innings. However, their happiness couldn’t last for long as Hasnain removed Salt (8) in the third over to reduce England to 18-1. Malan (14 off 15) & Will Jacks joined hands and stabilized England’s innings by scoring runs at a brisk pace. Though Malan got dismissed in the 7th over, Jacks was going strong at the other end. He played a glemaing knock of 40 runs off 22 balls embellished with eight fours to ensure visitors are never short of runs. In the 8th over Qadir gave his side another breakthrough by removing Will Jacks & reducing England to 82-3 in 8.3 overs.
Then happened the unexpected as Duckett along with Harry Brooks took Pakistan bowlers for cleaners. The duo smashed Pakistani pacers across the stadium & made a mockery of their bowling attack. Duckett played a specially curated knock of 70 off 42 balls while Harry Brook remained unbeaten on 81 runs in 35 balls, including 8 fours and 5 sixes. On the back of their blistering knocks, England posted 221 runs total on board.
Mark Wood rattled Pakistan’s batting order to clinch a 63-run Win
In the chase of 222 runs, Pakistan was never in form as they lost wickets like a pack of cards. The hosts get off to a poor start as they lost Babar Azam (8), Rizwan (8), Haider Ali (3), & Iftikhar Ahmed right in the powerplay overs, reducing Pakistan to 28-4 in 5.3 overs. It seemed like batters couldn’t cope with England’s lethal pace attack as wickets were falling in quick succession.
Shan Masood & Khushdil then joined hands to remove Pakistan from a state of bother. The duo stitched a valuable 62-run stand to keep Pakistan in the chase. However, Adil Rashid had the last laugh after sending Khushdil back to the hut for 29 runs off 21 balls in the 12th over, reducing Pakistan to 90-5.
Mohammad Nawaz then took the crease & along with Shan Masood kept things going for Pakistan. Soon their blooming stand was broken when Rashid send Nawaz back to the hut for 19 runs off 21 balls in the 18th over. Wickets kept falling but Shan Masood didn’t give up at the other end. He stayed unbeaten at 66 off 40 balls including 3 fours & 4 sixes. However, due to the lack of support from the lower order, Masood couldn’t take his team to home. As a result, Pakistan’s innings were wrapped for 158 runs, handing a massive 63 runs victory to England.
