ENG vs SL Dream11 Prediction, T20 WC 2022: England vs Sri Lanka Preview

ENG vs SL Dream11 Prediction, T20 WC 2022: England vs Sri Lanka Preview

ENG vs SL Dream11 Prediction, T20 WC 2022: England is all set to lock horns with Sri Lanka in their last match of the group stage. New Zealand has already confirmed its spot in the Playoffs, however, three spots still need to be filled. England will have to win this fixture against Sri Lanka to book their spot in the semi-finals on the other hand if Sri Lanka wins the clash then Australia will qualify for the Playoffs. Lagging at the fourth spot on the Points table, this will be a do-or-die match for the Sri Lanka team. They need to win this match by a huge margin if they aim to stay in contention for the Playoffs. But due to a poor NRR, their chances of qualifying for the Playoffs are low.

England Preview

Jos Buttler & Co would put every effort to book a spot in the Playoffs by winning today’s clash against Sri Lanka. Jos Buttler & Alex Hales looks in red-hot form & will continue their good run in today’s fixture as well. While Liam Livingstone is their biggest bet in the middle order. The presence of Moeen Ali & Ben Stokes is another major positive for England’s line-up. In the bowling attack, Sam Curran, and Chris Woakes who starred in their previous win over Black Caps would aim to wreak havoc with the ball in today’s fixture as well. While Mark Wood too provides them valuable support with the ball in hand. Overall England’s team looks a well-settled unit & looks favorites to win today’s clash against Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka Preview

Sri Lanka’s Campaign in the T20 World Cup has been a roller coaster ride as they have managed to register two wins & an equal number of losses in the marquee event. Now in the knockout stage, they need to beat England by a huge margin to continue their journey in the marquee event. In the bowling department, Wanindu Hasaranga who returned with figures of 3-13 in their previous clash would be the pick of the bowlers. Kumara & Theekshana will also provide him with valuable support in the mid-overs.

In the batting department, the management would hope that Dhananjaya & Rajapaksa who led their chase in the previous fixture continue to chip in with crucial runs in today’s fixture as well. While Patthum Nissanka & Kusal Mendis should provide their team with a stable start by scoring runs at the top order. Sri Lankan unit need to click in unison if they aim to save themselves from getting eliminated.
