The fourth day of the 1st Test match between England & West Indies has started very well. England’s Batters Rory Burns & Dom Sibley batted cautiously & kept the West Indies bowlers at bay in the opening one hour of the morning session of Day 4 in Southampton.
The duo batted cautiously without taking much risk & completed the 50 runs partnership for the opening wicket. Earlier on Day 3 Ben Stokes took four wickets & helped England bowled West Indies for 318 runs giving away the visitors a lead of 114 runs. For Windies, Shane Dowrich & Kraigg Brathwaite scored half-centuries each while Roston Chase also managed a knock of 47 to put the West Indies ahead in the first Test match. Apart from England’s Captain, James Anderson also picked up three wickets for hosts. England’s off-spinner Dom Bess also managed to get two crucial wickets for England on a day that saw nine wickets fall.
