The International Cricket Council (ICC) has named the nominees for the Player of the Month award for December 2022 across senior Men’s and Women’s format. The Men’s nominees were predominantly mastered by ace batsmen who put up a thumping show in the ongoing World Test Championship fixtures. On the other hand, Women’s Cricket saw nominations from numerous bilateral series amongst top member nations.

1) Babar Azam
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam undisputedly stands as the frontrunner to seize the award. Masterful Azam has scored 523 runs in four test matches at a whopping average of 65.37. Azam had previously won the award in April 2021 and March 2022.
2) Harry Brook

Ace New Zealand batter Suzie Bates has been glorious with her performance in December. She scored 223 runs across an ODI and a T-20I series against Bangladesh that also includes a powered 93-run knock in the second ODI. She is truly a top contender to win the award.
2) Charlie Dean
England’s ruthless bowler Charlie Dean has been gazing at the attention of all the fans as she destroyed the West Indies in a couple of limited-overs bilateral series. Dean scalped 18 wickets in six matches with a bankable economy of 2.92.
3) Ashleigh Gardener
Australian all-rounder Ashleigh Gardener had a marvelous time in India as she paved the way for a brilliant 4-1 victory for her side. Gardener accumulated 115 runs in the series and grabbed seven crucial wickets to earn her maiden nomination.
