ICC on Wednesday released the latest update in Men’s ODI Rankings & there comes good news for veteran cricketers Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma & Mohammed Siraj as they jumped up in the latest Update issued on Wednesday. Virat scored a swash-buckling century during India’s first ODI agaisnt Sri Lanka on Tuesday & this ton has helped him to move up by two spots to acquire a sixth position in the update.
Not only Virat but Rohit was also on fire during the first ODI against Sri Lanka. He scored an aggressive 83 runs which helped him to acquire an eighth spot on the Rankings list. Sri Lanka’s Shanaka who scored a resilient ton that ended in the losing cause has helped him to move up 20 spots to acquire the 61st position.
Meanwhile, in the ICC Men’s Bowlers Rankings, Mohammed Siraj is their biggest gainer in the rankings after scalping two wickets in the first ODI which helped him to move up by four spots to acquire the 18th position.
ICC T20I Rankings:
In the T20I Rankings, Suryakumar Yadav continues to acquire the top spot in the batters rankings thanks to his stunning ton in the third T20I against Sri Lanka. Virat Kohli too praised Rohit for his stunning form at the time of interviewing him after the third T20I.
Shakib-Al-Hasan too holds the top position in the all-rounder’s rankings in the T20I format. On the other hand, Wanindu Hasaranga has been replaced by Rashid Khan as the top-ranked bowler following his poor performance in the T20I against India.
ICC Men’s Test Rankings
The ICC also released Men’s Test Rankings Update on Wednesday which took into account the recently concludes Test series between Australia & South Africa. In the batter Rankings, Usman Khawaja is the biggest gainer as he moved up to the eighth spot in thanks to his unbeaten 195-run knock. The star performers of the Pakistan & New Zealand Test series also made it to the list of the latest Rankings update. Tom Latham, Saud Shakeel & Devon Conway made major moves in the ICC Test Rankings Update.
Latham who returned with scores of 71 & 62 on the second Test has moved up by one place to acquire the 19th position on the list. While Conway’s ton in the first innings helped him to move up by three spots to acquire the 21st position. Shakeel who registered his maiden ton has also gained twenty spots to reach the 30 position. Marnus Labuschagne continues to acquire the top spot in the batters Rankings.
In the ICC Rankings for Bowlers, Josh Hazlewood who made a comeback in the Sydney Test made the biggest gain in the latest update. He scalped five wickets & moved up by six spots to jump to the 10th position in the bowlers rankings. Meanwhile, Pat Cummins continues to remain the top-ranked Test bowler on the list.
