The latest edition of ICC Men’s T20I Rankings was released where Indian cricketers Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, and Kuldeep Yadav gained massive rating points to make an upward move in the ICC T20I Rankings. India’s trio had displayed a commendable performance in the final two T20Is of the series against the Caribbean.
Iconic Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer galloped six spots to grab the 19th position in the batsmen rankings. Iyer scored a vital knock of 64 runs in the final T20I against West Indies. Iyer’s innings helped India to seize the match and clinch the series by 4-1.
South African cricketer Reeza Hendricks was the highlight in the batsmen rankings as he grabbed 13th position with crucial knocks of 74 and 42 against Ireland which the Proteas eventually won by 2-0. New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell moved 23 places to the 38th position after a sizzling show against the Netherlands whereas Irish batsman Paul Stirling moved a spot up to the 23rd position. Bangladesh’s Liton Das moved up by a position to the 28th.
Notably, Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikander Raza gained across all three segments after a convincing performance against Bangladesh. Raza has gained 10 spots to move up to the 29th position in batsmen, 79th position amongst the bowlers, and a career-best ranking of 4th position in the all-rounder’s rankings.
Meanwhile, the Indian spinning duo of Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav shone in the bowler’s rankings after a stellar show against West Indies. Bishnoi climbed up by 50 spots to hold the 44th position whereas Kuldeep Yadav strode 58 places to the 87th position after a match-winning figure of 3/28.
South African skipper Keshav Maharaj rose up by 10 places to the 18th position whereas paceman Lungi Ngidi and Lockie Ferguson moved up to the 23rd and 31st position respectively. Sikander Raza also gained massively and held the 79th position amongst the bowlers.
