ICC released the latest update in Women’s Rankings & Hayley Matthews is the notable gainer in the update. Matthews has moved up to the second spot in the all-rounders rankings while she has marched up by three places to grab the fourth spot in the bowlers rankings. She is now placed behind Ecclestone, Glenn & Deepti Sharma while she rose up by one spot among the all-rounders rankings to grab the second spot just four ratings below Sophie Devine.
In the ongoing five-match T20I series against West Indies, England is leading the series by 4-0. Matthews scalped five wickets after playing knocks of 66, 23 & 25 in the last two fixtures. Sophia Dunkley has also moved up by one spot to break into the top ten charts. She acquired 19 points to join the 12th position with 147 runs in his kitty scored in four fixtures. New Zealand’s pacer Lea Tahuhu too entered in the top ten lists while Australia’s Jonassen & Schutt moved down in the ICC Women’s T20I Rankings list.
ICC Women’s Rankings: Ashleigh Gardner made positive gains in all three lists
Gardner got rewarded for her swashbuckling performances in the T20I format. She moved up by nine places to the 17th position among the bowlers list while she surpassed Amelia Kerr in the all-rounders list to occupy the fourth spot. On the other hand, she jumped up by one spot to grab the ninth position among the batters list. Ashleigh Gardner was also regarded as the Player of the Match in the fourth T20I against India when she returned with figures of 42 off 27, and 2 for 20 followed by figures of 2 for 21 in the third T20I.
Gardner’s teammate Ellyse Perry moved up into the top ten among the all-rounders list on the back of her knocks of 72* & 75. She also moved up by 17 places to 34 in the batters rankings. Indian players too made positive gains in the ICC Women’s Rankings Update. Richa Ghosh moved up by four places to grab the 40th position among the batters list while Deepti marched up by one spot to join her in the 40th position.
