ICC Women’s T20I Rankings: Jemimah Climbs up to 8th position

ICC released the latest update in Women’s T20I Rankings & guess what, Jemimah Rodrigues has made massive gains in the latest Rankings update for batters. Rodrigues who smashed a match-winning 76 off 53 against Sri Lanka in their Asia Cup fixture has moved up by four places to reach the eighth position. Notably, Rodrigues became the third highest ranked Indian batter after Smriti Mandhana (third) & Shafali Verma (seventh). On the other hand, Haramnpreet has moved up to the 13th position after moving up by two spots.

The other massive gainer from ICC Women’s T20I Rankings is West Indies batter, Hayley Matthews. The all-rounder who made massive gains in ODI Rankings last week achieved the same feat in T20I Rankings too. Matthews moved up by eight spots after her blistering figures of 4-12 in the third T20I. She is now tied at third place with African pacer Shabnim Ismail.

Hayley who also contributed with the bat has moved up by one place to the 33rd position in the batters list & has moved up by three places to second position in the all-rounder’s list. Bangladesh Nigar Sulatna (25), Misbah Maroof (28) & Deepti Sharma (36) have also moved up by one slot each in the ICC T20I Rankings for all-rounders. Pakistan’s Nidar Dar & Bangladesh’s Fargana Hoque are tied at 44th place, while Bangladesh Captain Salma Khatun has progressed by four spots to 49th position.

ICC Women’s T20I Rankings for Bowlers

In Women’s T20I Rankings for bowlers, Deepti Sharma, Salma Khatun & Nida Dar have made big gains & are among the top 20 in the bowlers Rankings list. Pakistan’s bowler Diana Baig has progressed up by three spots to reach the 16th spot in the bowlers rankings list. West Indies leg-spinner Afy Fletcher has re-entered the rankings list to grab 21st position.

Sri Lanka spinners Oshadi Ranasinghe (moved up by two places to 26th position) Inoka Ranaweera (moved up by three places to 40th position), Indian all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar (moved up by nine places to 35th position) & Bangladesh Sanjida Akter (moved up by 17 places to 49th ) are the other bowlers who made positive gains in ICC Women’s T20I Rankings for bowlers. The major highlight of the bowling rankings list is left-arm spinner Fran Jones who moved up by 90 places to 69 positions after her three-wicket haul in the third fixture against West Indies.
