India handed a debut to Ruturaj Gaikwad & Ravi Bishnoi which means there is no place for Shahbaz Ahmed in the squad. While for Proteas, Janneman Malan comes into the Playing XI. While there is bad news for the South African clan who will miss the feature of allrounder Dwaine Pretorius who has been ruled out of the ODI series & T20 World Cup 2022 due to a thumb fracture.

Team India would be brimming with confidence after winning the T20I series by 2-1 scores. They would aim to continue their good run in the ODI series as well. However, India would be without the services of their key players as their T20 World Cup 2022 squad has departed for Australia. A secodn team led by Shikhar Dhawan will play in the South Africa ODI Series. Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team while Shreyas Iyer will be his deputy. They would aim to take revenge for their previous ODI series loss of 3-0 in South Africa.

On the other hand, South Africa is playing their best Playing XI. After displaying horrendous performance in the first two T20Is, South Africa will aim to bounce back & have an edge over the second-string Indian team.
