IPL 2023: 'All is Well' between Ravindra Jadeja & CSK

CSK all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has confirmed that ‘All is Well’ between both the parties after the franchise retained the star all-rounder in IPL 2023 Retention Process.

The all-rounder uploaded a post on his Official Twitter Handle where he is seen bowing in front of MS Dhoni & captioned it as ‘Everything is fine’ #Restart. The post was liked by CSK’s Official Twitter handle. The star all-rounder shared the post a few minutes after CSK retained him ahead of the mini-auction scheduled for December. As per the sources, Dhoni has made it clear to CSK management that Jadeja needs to be retained at any cost. Dhoni has also made CSK realize that Jadeja is integral to the team’s success & they couldn’t find a replacement for a player of Jadeja’s caliber. After Dhoni’s suggestion, CSK has agreed to retain Jadeja ahead of IPL 2023 auction.

What was the issue between Ravindra Jadeja & CSK management?

Earlier before the start of IPL 2022, MS Dhoni had decided to hand the reins of CSK Captaincy to Jadeja. However, things were not going well for CSK as they were losing back-to-back fixtures under Jadeja’s captaincy. So the southpaw decided to step down from the role after the 8th fixture & Dhoni again took over the captaincy reins. In the last fixtures of the league stage, Jadeja was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury. But the all-rounder deleted all the posts from the team’s 2021 & 2022 seasons from his Instagram Account indicating that something is not well between the franchise & the all-rounder. The situation got elevated when both parties unfollowed each other on social media handles. But as it is said that all is well when ends well, the same applied on CSK & H=Jadeja’s case as the franchise retained the all-rounder ahead of the IPL 2023 auctions. MS Dhoni will continue to lead the ‘Yellove’ Army’.
