Rashid Khan is one of the finest leg spinners in world cricket at the moment. Rashid Khan is also a vital cog of the SRH franchise in the IPL & is a key player of team Afghanistan.

On Tuesday Australian batsman Steve Smith turned 31 & to celebrate this occasion the SRH official Instagram handle shared a video of Rashid Khan trying to copy Steve Smith’s batting style. SRH in the caption of the post wrote “@rashid.khan19 doing his best @steve_smith49 impression on the Aussie’s birthday today! Have a good one, Steve”.

Steve Smith is one of the best batsmen in the current era. Rashid made his International debut in the year 2015 against Zimbabwe in a One day International. Since then Rashid Khan has played almost 71 ODIs for his country & has grabbed 133 wickets with an economy rate of 4.16. He is at the 11th spot in ICC’s ODI rankings for bowlers with 630 points.

Rashid made his debut in Afghanistan against India in 2018. He has featured in almost four test matches for his country & has grabbed 23 wickets with an economy rate of 3.10.

In the IPL Rashid was bought in the auction by SRH in 2017 for Rs 4 crores. In 2019, Rashid was also retained in the auction by SRH for a sum of Rs 9 crore. Rashid Khan is one of the few players from Afghanistan to play in the IPL. The leg spinner has played almost 46 matches in the IPL & has managed to pick 55 wickets with an economy rate of 6.55.
