“As of now, no date has been decided for the IPL review meeting. There are other issues that BCCI is looking into. The franchises are entitled to their opinion. We will make a decision which will be in the best interest of cricket and country. The meeting will take place once we work on all surrounding issues of IPL,” the source told leading media portal. The ongoing border tensions between India & China in Eastern Ladakh has resulted in discussions regarding allowing Chinese Sponsorship in the IPL or not.
Earlier on Monday, a historic decision was taken by the Indian government of banning 59 Chinese apps which included TikTok & ShareIt also. “The Ministry of IT had said in a statement that it decided to block 59 Chinese apps in view of the information available that “they are engaged in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, the security of the state and public order”.
The Law, Electronics & IT Minister Ravi Shankar said that the Center has banned these 59 apps for safety, security, defense, sovereignty, and integrity of India.
