The aim of the coalition is to attract the best cricketers of the world to join the shortest format of the game.
Caribbean batting sensation and the most explosive opening batsman Chris Gayle has been signed as the Brand Ambassador of the league. Gayle will promote and will likely participate in the 60 Ball League that will be hosted soon. Gayle’s batting style and destructive nature are truly designed for the shortest format of the game. He is the leading run-scorer for West Indies in the T-20 format.
The 60 Ball League (10-over match) is gaining momentum across the globe. In recent times, we saw the uprising of the Abu Dhabi T-10 League where many star international cricketers participated to bring excitement to the championship. Meanwhile, Cricket West Indies and the governing body of the Caribbean Premier League have already announced the schedule for Caribbean Premier League 2022. The T-20 League will begin on 30th August and will continue till 30th September.
As CWI and CPL gear up to launch their new 60-ball League event, the England Cricket Board (ECB) is all set to host the second edition of the Hundred tournament later this summer. The Hundred is a new concept by the ECB which gives 100 balls to take 10 wickets for each opponent in a cricket match.
