The BCCI has finally unveiled the schedule for India’s home white ball series against Australia & South Africa. India’s home season 2022-23 will kickstart with a three-match T20I series against Australia in September followed by a three-match T20I & ODI series against South Africa.
Mohali will host the first T20I against Australia on September 20 followed by the second & third T20I at Nagpur & Hyderabad on September 23 & 25 repsectively. On the other hand, the home T20I series against South Africa will begin on September 28 in Thiruvananthapuram. The second T20I will be played on October 22, at Guwahati followed by the last T20I at Indore on October 4.
After the conclusion of the South Africa T20I series, India’s World Cup contingent will depart for the marquee event at Down Under in October. While India’s second-string ODI team will play three-match ODI series against Proteas beginning on October 6. The first ODI of the series will be played at Lucknow while the second & third ODI will be played on October 9 & 11 at Ranchi & Delhi.

India to tour Zimbabwe for three-match ODI Series
Currently, India is touring West Indies for three-match ODI & T20I series. They won the ODI series by 3-0 & are currently leading the T20I series by 2-1. After the conclusion of the West Indies series, India will tour Zimbabwe for three-match ODI series from August 18 to 22.
Earlier last week, the BCCI also announced the ODI squad for the Zimbabwe ODI series. Shikhar Dhawan who led the Indian team in the West Indies ODI series which the Men in Blue won by 3-0 will lead the ODI team for Zimbabwe ODIs as well. Meanwhile, India’s key players Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant & Jasprit Bumrah are rested for the Zimbabwe Series
Meanwhile, Rahul Tripathi who has been a part of the SRH squad in the IPL 2022 has also received his national team call-up for the Zimbabwe series on account of his good performances in the IPL 2022. In 14 games he played for SRH, Rahul has scored 413 runs at an average of 37.55. He scored three half-centuries in IPL 2022 with his best score being 76 at a strike rate of 158.23. He was the second-highest run-scorer for SRH.
Washington Sundar who was ruled out of action after sustaining an injury will make a comeback to the National team with the ODI series. He has returned to action with County Cricket featuring for Lancashire Club & has registered a five-wicket haul against Northamptonshire. Deepak Chahar who was out of action after sustaining an injury has made a comeback to the National squad.
India will tour Zimbabwe for three-match ODI series to be played from August 18 to August 22 in Harare Sports Stadium in Harare.
