ICC T20I Rankings: Babar Azam retain the top spot while Virat Kohli drops out of the top 10 list

International Cricket Council has released the latest updates in the ICC T20I rankings where Indian team captain Virat Kohli has dropped out from the top 10 list in the batting charts of the ICC T20I Rankings. Virat Kohli who was rested for the T20I series against New Zealand has moved down from No 8 to No 11 position in the latest rankings update.

On the other hand, India’s new T20I Captain Rohit Sharma has moved up to 2 spots to grab the 13th position in the ICC T20I Rankings List. KL Rahul who had displayed astounding performances in the three-match T20I series against New Zeaalnd moved up to 5th position in teh list. He is the only Indian who is in the top 10 list in ICC T20I Rankings. No Indian bowler or all-rounder is among the top 10, as per rankings on November 24.

Rohit Sharma was in his career’s best form his maiden T20I series as a full-time captain as he also won the ‘Player of the Match Award after leading India to a 3-0 sweep of New Zealand. Rohit Sharma scored 159 runs in three matches at a strike rate of over 150.

Meanwhile, New Zealand’s star batsman Martin Guptill returned back to the top 10 spots in the batting list after registering scores of 70, 31, and 51 in the recently concluded three-match T20I series against India. He has gained three spots as he sits at No.10. On the other hand, Pakistan’s T20I captain Babar Azam continues to lead the batters Rankings list despite a poor outing in the three-match T20I series against Bangaldesh. Mohammad Rizwan gained one spot, moving up to No.4 after accounting for 39 and 40 in the final two T20Is while young batter Haider Ali, who made a note-worthy 38-ball 45 in the final T20I, gained 53 spots to 184.

n the ICC T20I Rankings bowlers list, Micthell Santner made an imperial gain by moving up by 10 spots to a much deserving No 13 spot while India’s pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has moved up to No 19 after moving up by five spots. India spinners R Ashwin (up 129 spots to No.92) and Axar Patel (up 160 spots to No.112) are also among the top gainers. Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar has made spectacular gains in both bowlers & Batters Ranklings list by moving up by 19th spots to acquire 40th spot & 83 spots to 163 position
