ICC T20I Rankings: Virat Kohli rises to fourth spot while Rahul retains sixth spot in the latest updates

Team India Captain Virat Kohli has advanced by one place to move up from 5th spot to the No 4th spot in the latest ICC T20I player Rankings.

Virat Kohli interchanged places with New Zealand’s Devon Conway who grabbed fifth spot while Virat took the fourth spot in the latest Rankings update. KL Rahul retains his sixth spot in the list & becomes the only Indian along with Virat Kohli to grab a spot in the top 10 of the ICC T20I Player Rankings update.

Quinton de Kock’s spectacular performance with the bat during the third T20I against Sri Lanka helped the Proteas squad to register a series sweep 3-0 over Sri Lanka. On the back of De Kock’s stellar run with the bat he advanced by four spots to occupy 8th position in the ICC T20I player rankings. Quinton De Kock scored 153 runs at an average of 153 & a strike rate of 121.42.

The other South African opener, Reeza Hendricks who was also the second highest run scorer in the T20I series with 112 runs in his kitty moved up into the top 20. Aiden Markram who scored 69 runs at a strike rate of 132.69 moved up by 12 spots to reach 11th position in the latest ICC T20I player rankings.

For Sri Lanka, Kusul Perera was among the other players who made notable gains in the latest rankings update. After recovering from his shoulder injury he scored 69 runs in two matches & moved up by 10 spots to reach 39th spot.

After the completion of the T20I series between Bangladesh & New Zealand, The Black Caps captain Tom Latham & Finn Allen moved up at 44 & 66 spot respectively. For Bangladesh, Mohammad Naim and Mahmudullah reached at No. 24 and No. 29 respectively in the ICC T20I Player Rankings.

Bjorn grabbed a spot into the Top 50 in the ICC T20I player rankings for bowlers

In the ICC T20I Player Rankings for bowlers, Bjorn Fortuin who is the leading wicket-taker in the SL vs SA 2021 Series advanced by 103 places to reach into the top 50. Fortuin picked up five wickets in three games at a strike rate of 14.4 and an economy rate of 4.75.

Bangladesh left arm pacer Mustafizur Rahim who scalped four wickets in the fourth T20I against new Zealand has advanced up from No 10 to No. 8 while Nasum Ahmed who scalped 4 wickets for 10 in the same match, advanced up by 25 places to occupy the 15th position in the ICC T20I player rankings for bowlers. New Zealand spinner Ajaz Patel, who was the leading wicket-taker in the series with 10 scalps, climbed 93 places to move into the top 60.
