ICC Test Rankings: Travis Head moves up to his career best joint fifth position in the latest Rankings Update

ICC Test Rankings: Travis head’s blistering 101 in the first innings of the final Ashes test helped him to rise to the joint fifth spot in the latest ICC Test Rankings for batters. Travis was previously placed at the tenth spot after scoring 152 in the first test in Brisbane.

Marnus remained at the top spot in the batter’s ranking after scoring 44 & 5 in the Hobart test, followed by Joe Root, Kane Williamson, and Steven Smith while Head & Rohit Sharma are tied at the fifth spot in the Rankings Update. Cameron Green has also made positive gains in the latest Rankings update. Green has moved up by 23 places to 66th position in the batters rankings list. In the bowler’s Rankings update, Cameron green moved up by 13 places to 62nd position thanks to his four wickets haul in Hobart. Scott Boland’s seven wikcets haul in the Sydney test & four wickets haul in the Hobart test helped him to move up to 43rd position in the ICC Test Bowlers Rankings.

England’s bowlers have made gains in the latest ICC test rankings for bowlers. Stuart Broad has moved up by two places to 12th position after scalping six wickets in the final test. Ollie Robinson has also moved up by one spot to 24th position while Mark Wood also moved up by seven places to reach 31st position after his stunning nine wikcets haul.

The test series between South Africa & India ended this week in favor of South Africa who claimed the series by 2-1. The players of both teams have made gains after the IND vs SA 2021 Test Series. Keegan Petersen shot up by 68 places to 33rd position after match-winning scores of 72 & 82 in Cape Town. He began the series at 158.

Pacers Kagiso Rabada moved up by two places to reach the third position after scalping seven wickets in the final test while Ngidi moved up by six places to reach the 21st position in the ICC Test Rankings for Bowlers after his four-wicket haul in the Hobart Test.

For India, Virat Kohli has moved up by two places to reach the seventh position after scoring 79 & 29 in the final test of the series while Rishabh Pant’s ton helped him to move up by ten places to reach 14th position in the latest ICC rankings update for batters. Jasprit Bumrah’s six wickets in the match kept him at the No 10 spot on the bowler’s rankings list.

ICC ODI Rankings

Ireland’s ODI series against Sri Lanka helped the players to make notable gains in the ODI Rankings updates. Andy McBrine who scored 34*, 35, and 59, and returning 2 for 52, 4 for 36, and 4 for 28 moved up by 17 spots to reach the No 10 position at the ICC ODI Rankings update. In Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe ODI series which is tied at 1-1 has Sean Williams has moved up eight places to 40th after scores of 100 and 40, and Charith Asalanka has risen 16 places to No. 52 after innings of 71 and 23.
