Pakistan’s opener Sidra Ameen & Sri Lanka Captain Chamari Athapaththu have made notable contributions in the ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings after ending as the top run-scorers for their respective teams in tehri first ICC Women’s Championship series.
Sidra Ameen who scored 218 runs including a match-winning 123 runs in the second ODI to win the ‘Player of the Series’ accolade after a 2-1 series has helped her to move up by 19 places to a career-best 35th position. Sri Lanka’s Athapaththu who smashed a record-breaking 101 in the second ODI & overall 142 runs has regained 23rd position in the ICC Women’s ODI Rankings list.
Pakistan’s Captain Bismah Maroof remains the top-ranked Pakistan batter in the latest Womne’s ODI Rankings. Her 98 runs in the series helped her to retain 26th position in the latest Rankings update while Muneeba Ali’s 86 runs helepd her to advance by four places to reach 54th Position in the ICC Womne’s ODI Rankings list.
Harshtitha Madavi (41st), Prasadani Weerakkody (64th), Kavisha Dilhari (66th) & Nilakshi De Silva (73rd) are the other Sri Lankan Batters who made notable gains in the ICC Womne’s ODI Rankings for batters which are led by Australia’s Alysa Healy.
Meanwhile, several South African & Ireland Players who have been preparing for their upcoming IWC Series by producing exemplary performances in an ongoing three-match T20I series in Dublin which is leveled at 1-1 have also made some noteworthy gains in the Latest Women’s ODI Rankings Update.
Ireland’s all-rounder Gaby Lewis has achieved a career-best 23rd position after leading the ongoing series run chart with 83 runs in two matches. Mary Waldron has moved up by six places to reach 49th position in the batters rankings list while Leah Paul moved up by seven places to 76th position & Celeste Raack moved up by five places to 87th position in the bowlers rankings list.
For South Africa, Tazmin Brits have moved up from 39th position to 36th position while Chloe Tryon has moved up by four places to 49th position in the bowlers’ Rankings list. Anne Bosch (32 places to 60th position) & Nadine De Klerk (moved up to five places to joint 79th position) are the notable gainers among the batters list.
In the bowling list led by Sophie Ecclestone, Proteas pacer Shabnim Ismail has retained the third position after fetching two wickets while Tumi Sekhukhune moved up by 20 places to acquire 27th position by scalping five wickets in two matches. Nadine De Klerk has also gained in the bowler’s rankings update by moving up to the 48th position.
