Earlier on Day 3, Rishabh Pant’s spectacular 91 runs & Cheteshwar Pujara’s 73 runs helped India to recover from a below average score of 73 runs for 4 wickets down but still India couldn’t save their wickets & were reduced to 257 for 6 wickets down, thanks to brilliant bowling by Dom Bess who scalped 4 wickets for 55 runs including crucial wickets of Virat Kohli & Ajinkya Rahane. India were 257/6 at stumps in response to England’s huge innings of 578 runs. On Day 4, India will be looking to at least level up their scores with England to avoid terrific defeat on their home ground.
