“My Last T20 will be in Chennai”, announces MS Dhoni

Legendary former India Cricketer & CSk captain MS Dhoni has indicated that he will play his final T20 match in front of his most beloved fans in Chennai. Dhoni has made thsi revealation during a pecial felicitation program for the 2021 IPL champions conducted at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai on Saturday (November 20).

Addressing a star studded gathering whcih included Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah & legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev, Dhoni said, ‘’I have always planned my cricket. My last game that I played was in Ranchi. The last home game in ODIs was at my hometown in Ranchi. So, hopefully, my last T20 will be in Chennai. Whether it’s next year or in 5 years’ time, we don’t really know.”

Under ‘Thala’s’ leadership CSK claimed its fourth IPL title in style

CSK clinched their fourth IPL title in style by outclassing the KKR in the summit clash of IPL 2021 held in dubai. The four time IPL Champions were ended at the bottom of the points table in the IPL 2020 & were knocked out of the tournament for the first time since the incpetion of the IPL.

However MS Dhoni promised his fans that they will come back stronger in the IPL 2021 & they excatly did what they have thought of. CSK dominated the league stage to become the first team to qualify for the playoffs. In the first qualifier against Delhi, Dhoni came in his finisher avatar & took is team over the winning line to qualify for the final. The final proved to be one sided contest thansk to a stunning batting performance by opener FAF du Plesis.

Following the triumph, Dhoni was asked by Harsha Bhogle about the legacy he’s left behind at CSK, and the champion skipper sent everyone into a frenzy as he said:

“Well, I still haven’t left behind.”
