SunRisers Hyderabad on Tuesday confirmed that fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of the IPL 2020 due to a Hip Injury. Recently SRH also announced Prithvi Raj Yarra as the replacement of Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the rest of the tournament.
Bhuvneshwar had suffered an injury during their match against CSK which SRH won by seven runs. Bhuvneshwar became the second SRH player after Mitchell Marsh to be ruled out of the IPL 2020 due to an injury. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is one of the most consistent bowlers for SRH since years & has played a key role in helping them win the IPL title for the first time in 2016. He has been a crucial wicket-keeper for SRH for four consecutive seasons from 2014-2017.
The IPL 2020 was a comeback tournament for Bhuvneshwar Kumar after suffering a long injury. He was featured in SRH’s four matches but couldn’t create the same magic of the previous seasons & grabbed only three wickets with two of them from the same match.
After winning two matches from five, SunRisers Hyderabad are currently on second position from bottom in the IPL 2020 Points table. They are next scheduled to face KXIP at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 8th October 2020.
