Shikhar Dhawan started singing a song in the India Bangladesh Match!

Indian Openers Shikhar Dhawan & Rohit Sharma are good friends both on & off the field. The duo’s friendship is visible to everyone when they bat together often scoring runs on opposition’s bowling. The same chemistry between the duo was seen in a video posted by the BCCI on it’s Twitter handle.

The video is a short snippet of the duo’s interview with the fellow India Opener Mayank Agarwal which will be released soon. In the video, the host Mayank asks Dhawan to sing a song in Punjabi to which Dhawan replies that he doesn’t sing well & the Indian team Captain Virat Kohli does a better job at singing Punjabi Songs.

Shikhar Dhawan went on to sing few lines of a song which he often sings in front of Rohit Sharma after which all three of them burst into laughter. Immediately after Dhawan stopped singing Rohit Sharma reminded Dhawan of a funny incident that took place on India’s tour of Bangladesh in 2015. “We were playing in Bangladesh in 2015 as I was standing in the first slip and Shikhar Dhawan was in the third slip. Suddenly he started singing very loudly. The bowler was already in his run-up and the batsman, Tamim Iqbal, was left amazed. He didn’t understand where the noise was coming from.

“It might not sound funny now but when it happened on the field we couldn’t control our laughter, it was really funny”, Rohit said. Dhawan further went on to say that Rohit’s sense of humour is very spontaneous.

The BCCI mentioned in his tweet that the full episode of the interview with the two batsmen will be out on its website very soon. Shikhar Dhawan & Rohit Sharma made a debut together for the first time during India’s victorious 2013 ICC Champions Trophy Campaign. The duo together registered various records on their name while opening for India in the limited overs cricket.
