Sourav Ganguly is stable, maintaining oxygen saturation of 99%, declares Woodlands hospital

There comes good news for all Sourav Ganguly fans, the BCCI president is stable & is maintaining oxygen saturation of 99% declares the hospital where he is undergoing treatment. Earlier on Monday night,  Sourav Ganguly was rushed to city hospital as a precautionary measure after he returned with positive reports for COVID-19.

“On the second day of admission, Sourav Ganguly, BCCI President, and former Indian cricket captain remains hemodynamically stable, afebrile, and maintaining oxygen saturation of 99% on room air”, declares Woodlands hospital.

“He slept well last night and has had breakfast and lunch,” Dr. Rupali Basu, MD & CEO of Woodlands Hospital, said in a statement.

The 49-year-old had received “Monoclonal Antibody Cocktail therapy” on Monday night. “The medical board is keeping a close watch on his health status,” the statement added.

What comes as a surprise for all is that Sourav Ganguly is double vaccinated but still he had tested positive for the deadly virus. The BCCI President has been traveling extensively & has been taking part in all professional activities. He was rushed immediately to the hospital late on Monday night after he returned with positive results in the RT-PCR tests.

Ganguly was admitted to the hospital twice earlier this year and underwent emergency angioplasty after having some cardiac issues. He was hospitalized on janaury 2 2021 with “chest discomfort, heaviness of head, vomiting and a spell of dizziness” while doing exercise at home gym. He underwent a second round of angioplasty & two stents were inserted in coronary arteries. Sourav Ganguly has been serving as the president of BCCI since 2019 after serving as Secretary of the Cricket Association of Bengal.

India is reeling at 115 for 6 with Rishabh Pant & Ravichandran Ashwin in the middle. However, India has managed to extend their lead over 250 runs.

In the first session, India scored 63 runs while South Africa scalped two wickets. India somehow managed to get off the major threat of the morning session but have lost three quick wickets of Virat Kohli, C Pujara & Rahane post-lunch. R Pant and R Ashwin will be looking to quickly accelerate towards a very big total.
