SRH vs RCB Preview: SunRisers Hyderabad

SRH are coming into this clash on the back of two successive defeats after winning five matches at a trot. In tehri previous clash against DC, Bowling first SRH miserably failed to restrict DC from posting a mammoth total on board. David Warner stormed a fabulous unbeaten 92 while Rovman Powell emerged with 35-ball 67 runs to guide DC to 207 runs.

While chasing a stiff target of 208, the SRH made a disastrous start as they were reeling at 37-3 at the end of the seventh over. Opener Abhishek was sent back to the pavilion after scoring 42 off 25 balls. Later, Aiden Markram (42 off 25 balls) and Nicholas Pooran (62 off 34 balls) led the fightback for SRH. SRH vs RCB Preview: Royal Challengers Bangalore Preview

RCB would be high on confidence as they are coming into this clash on the back of a gleaming win over CSK. Batting first, RCB have managed to score a competitive total of 173 runs. Virat Kohli (30) & Faf Du Plessis (38) gave them a rocking start as the duo added 57 runs for the opening wicket in the power-play overs. After Kohli & Plessis’s dismissal, Patidar & Mahipal anchored RCB’s innings by stitching a stunning stand & taking RCB over 120 runs mark in the 15th over. Later Dinesh Karthik’s 26 guided RCB to a respectable total.

In reply, Chasing 174, CSK got off to a steady start with openers Conway & Gaikwad scoring 51 runs in the powerplay overs. CSK’s big guns Robin Uthappa (1) & Ambati Rayudu (10) got dismissed cheaply to put CSK on the backfoot. Their lone fighter Devon kept CSK in the chase by scoring 56 off 37 balls. However, after Devon’s dismissal, CSK got out of track & in the end fell short of 13 runs in the chase of 174 runs.

RCB’s road to playoffs seems complicated as they have to win at least two matches to keep themselves alive in the playoffs. Though they have managed to win their previous clash against CSK they will have to go strong on their opponents to stay ahead in the race for playoffs. Meanwhile, RCB will wear green jerseys in this clash to take forward their campaign of ‘Go Green’.

With both the teams aiming to save their campaigns in the IPL 2022 by registering a much-needed win, fans could expect a crackling contest on cards.
