Star Players Marcus & Rabada powers Delhi Capitals to big Win over Rajasthan Royals!

Delhi Capitals hailed another win in the IPL 2020 by defeating Rajasthan Royals by 46 runs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, in United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday. 

Marcus Stoinis was once again the emerged the star player for Delhi Capitals contributing with both bat & ball. The Australian smashed 39 runs off 39 deliveries & also picked two wickets. Rabada closed the game in his side’s favor as he finished the game with a three wicket haul. The victory helped Delhi Capitals stitch a hat-trick of wins as the side has defeated RCB & KKR in their previous clashes.

Rajasthan Royals Captain Steve Smith won the toss & opted to bowl first. DC had an unstable start with opener batsmen Prithvi Shaw & Shikhar Dhawan failing to give a perfect response to their opposition’s bowling attack. However arrival of Shreyas Iyer on field helped DC to stabilize their innings. He scored 22 runs form just 18 balls.

Rishabh Pant couldn’t build his new found form scoring just five runs into his scoreboard. Stoinis was once again proved to be the hero for his team scoring just 39 runs packed with four sixes. West Indies batsmen Shimron Hetmyer made his presence felt scoring 45 runs in just 24 deliveries. He also smashed one four & five sixes which helped his team to post a strong target of 185 runs. Delhi capitals wrapped their innings at 184/8 after playing 20 overs.

For Rajasthan Royals Jofra Archer emerged as the star bowler picking up three wickets. Rajasthan Royals opted for a cautious start but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Yashasvi Jaiswal showed his talent with a 34 runs knock from 36 balls. He could hit a four & two sixes. Jaiswal’s opening partner Jos Buttler couldn’t stay glued to the field & got dismissed after facing just eight deliveries. Smith also couldn’t kept the chase alive for his team as he could manage to score just 24 runs from 17 balls. Sanju Samson once again got out very early by scoring just five runs.

Rahul Tewatia came little late on field as RR faced another defeat. Tewatia managed to score 38 runs off 29 balls. RR were bowled out for 138 runs in 19.4 overs. Rabada was impressive & hailed Delhi Capitals towards victory by grabbing three wickets for his side. This glorious victory lead Delhi Capitals on top of the IPL 2020 Points table meanwhile Rajasthan Royals are on seventh spot. Delhi capitals will face Mumbai Indians in their next match on October 11 while Rajasthan Royals will face SRH on the same day.
