Ahead of making her debut in the hundred ball tournament, India’s opener Smriti Mandhana shared a couple of pictures on Instagram where she is seen adorning a green jersey of the Southern Brave Women’s team.
In the pics, Smriti is looking joyful as she poses for the camera. In the first picture, Mandhana was seen holding a bat while in the second one she was making a fist with her right hand.
“Time to don the Southern Brave green at The hundred,” Mandhana captioned the picture. Mandhana’s fans were happy to see her adorning the Southern Brave’s jersey as they posted red heart emojis in the comment section.
On Friday, Mandhana also shared a workout video on Instagram. “Running through time,” Mandhana captioned the clip on Insta. In the footage, the stylish left-handed batter was seen running a treadmill.
Mandhana has signed a contract with the Southern Brave team for the inaugural edition of the Hundred tournament. Smriti Mandhana will open the batting for Southern Brave along with England’s Danni Wyatt.
The Southern Brave will start their campaign today by coming into a face-off with Trent Rockets Women in the ongoing Hundred tournament. Other than Mandhana India’s T20 Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma & Shafali Verma other the other players of the India women’s team who are featuring in the Hundred tournament.
Harmanpreet will play for Manchester originals, Deepti and Shafali are representing Birmingham Phoenix. Harmanpreet has played for Manchester Originals in their opening match of the season against Oval Invincibles. Harmanpreet scored 29 runs off 16 balls but still, Manchester lost the match by five wickets.
