The franchise confirmed the news in an Official Press Release & said that the players are kept under medical supervision. Positive COVID-19 cases in KKR’s squad have forced KKR to conduct a daily round of COVID-19 tests to identify any other case & “treat them at the earliest”, said the IPL.
“The Medical Team is also determining the close and casual contacts of the two positive cases during the 48 hours prior to collection of the sample that returned the positive test results,” the IPL said in the media release.
“The BCCI and the Kolkata Knight Riders prioritize the health and safety of everyone involved and all measures are being taken in that endeavor”, IPL concluded its Statement.
