BBL 2021: Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman resigns with Brisbane Heat for his 4th Stint

Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman resigns with Brisbane Heat for the BBL 2021. The franchise has confirmed the participation of star Afghanistan spinner, Mujeeb Ur Rahman in the upcoming season of the Big Bash League.

This will be Rahman’s fourth stint at Brisbane Heat & the talented spinner will look forward to recreating the magic he weaved during last season. Mujeeb was in stunning form in the last season of the BBL as he finished as the second-highest wicket-taker for Brisbane Heat.

In the eight innings that he has played, he scalped 14 wickets at an average of 13.42 at an impressive economy rate of 6.26. his best bowling performance came against the Hobart Hurricanes as he finished with the astounding figures of 5/15. Afghanistan’s star spinner expressed his delight at the re-signing for Brisbane Heat for his 4th stint with the franchise.

He told, “I’m very pleased to have re-signed for Brisbane Heat for my fourth season with them.’’

Mujeeb also praised the Brisbane Heat fans for their consistent support & said that he is aiming to clinch the BBL 2021 title for the franchise fans.

Mujeeb added, “I’m very happy there, they’re great guys. The fans always support me and the team so I hope we can win the Big Bash for them.”

Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman aiming for another Successful Season for Brisbane Heat in the BBL 2021

Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman displayed a gleaming performance in the recently ended inaugural season of the Hundred. Representing the Northern Superchargers franchise, the Afghanistan spinner scalped six wickets at an economy rate of 7.24. Mujeeb could feature in Afghanistan’s only test against Australia in Hobart ahead of the BBL season.

Brisbane heat’s head coach Wade Seccombe is extremely happy with the re-signing of Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman from the franchise. Seccombe believes that having Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman in their squad will not only help his team to ‘match up’ with other teams, it will also enable other players of the squad to come & perform in the forefront.

BBL 2021 will kickstart on December 5. The Brisbane Heat will get their campaign underway against the Sydney Thunder in Canberra on December 6, 2021.
