There were huge speculations that Arjun Tendulkar will make his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians this season. But Arjun Tendulkar couldn’t make it to the Playing XI throughout the IPL 2022. Arjun’s father Sachin Tendulkar who is also the mentor of MI has given his son big advice to achieve success in his cricketing career.
“My conversation with Arjun has always been that the path is going to be challenging, it is going to be difficult. You started playing cricket because you are in love with cricket, continue to do so, continue to work hard and results will follow,” Sachin Tendulkar told on the show ‘SachInsight’.
Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar also made it clear that he doesn’t interfere in the selection process. The left-arm pacer & a left-handed batter, Arjun Tendulkar was picked by the Mumbai Indians franchise for 30 lakhs during the IPL 2022 Auction held in February. Though he has been selected by the franchise in the IPL 2022 auction but wasn’t included in the Playing XI for any of their league stage fixtures. This clearly indicates that Arjun needs to work hard on his skills & get ready for the fierce on-field action so that he can be picked into Mumbai Indians Playing XI in their next season.
“This is a different question. What I am thinking or what I feel is not important. The season is already over,” Tendulkar said at a show ‘SachInsight’ when asked whether he would have liked to watch Arjun play this year.
According to the ‘God of Cricket’ as far as selection is concerned, he leaves the matter to the team management.
“If we speak about selection, I have never involved myself in selection. I leave all these things to the (team) management because that is how I have always functioned,” Tendulkar stressed.
Arjun Tendulkar’s cricketing career is not so illustrative as he has featured in only two T20 matches for Mumbai’s domestic side. He has also played in the ‘T20 Mumbai’ league but wasn’t picked for Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy knockout matches.
