Rashid Khan never fails to amaze his fans by displaying an out-worldly performance with the ball. And for the second time in the ongoing PSL 6, the spinner has sealed a victory for Lahore Qalandars on the grounds of Abu Dhabi. The star spinner stunned Peshawar Zalmi’s batsmen & viewers by scalping five wickets for 20 runs in just four overs. With this glorious victory, Lahore Qalandars occupies the top spot on the points table with 10 points in their kitty. While Peshawar Zalmi is on the fourth spot with six points. The batting order of Peshawar Zalmi faced a downfall in the 10th overs of their innings when Rashid struck twice to send Dawid Miller & Rovman Powell back to the pavilion.
Rashid didn’t stop there, right in the very next over he again scalped two wickets in just three balls. He dismissed Sherfane Rutherfold for a slider delivery while Fabian Allen trapped LBW with a googly delivery. For Peshawar Zalmi, Shoaib Malik tried to bring them back on the track by scoring a blistering 73 runs along with Captain Wahab Riaz. However, Rashid broke the savage partnership between the duos, by trapping Riaz in the 16th over & was rightly awarded the ‘man of the match award for his heroics with the ball.
Lahore Qalandars posted an average total but it was the side’s bowlers who defended the total very well & helped the Qalandars to seal the second victory in the ongoing PSL 6. Tim David’s maiden T20 half-century helped the Qalandars to score a rapid 74 runs in the last five overs of their innings. David’s ferocious 64 runs off 36 balls was the highlight of Lahore Qalandars innings.
Earlier Lahore Qalandars had a poor start of their innings as by the end of the 10th over they were able to score just 18 runs with fall of three wickets. However, the momentum of the game changed in the 11th over, when Fabien Allen came on the crease to lead Qalandars Innings. In the last two overs, the duos of David & Faulkner brought up 44 runs for the Qalandars by smashing five sixes before getting run-out on the penultimate ball.
