While India is in the third stage in terms of transmission of this deadly virus, India’s Prime minister Shri Narendra Modi has announced the country’s lockdown for a period of next 21 days in order to stop further spread of Coronavirus Pandemic in the country.
The whole country is applauding PM for this historic move and Sachin Tendulkar has joined this trend. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar supported and appreciated PM Narendra Modi’s decision of a nationwide lockdown for the coming 21 days in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Pandemic. PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday with the help of electronic media announced a countrywide lockdown which will continue stringently till 15th April 2020. Sachin Tendulkar took to his Twitter account and appreciated PM for this historic move, he tweeted, “The things which seem simple are often the most difficult and hardest thing to do as these things require consistency and discipline. Honorable Prime Minister @ Narendra Modi Ji has asked us to #StayHomeAndStaySafe for the next 21 days. This simple thing can help us to save millions of lives. So let us unite and stand together against the war with #COVID-19”.

Right from Virat Kohli to Ashwin many cricketers appreciated and supported PM Narendra Modi’s move on social media. Before taking this iconic move PM Modi initiated a ‘Janta Curfew’ on Sunday, March 22nd as a measure to save the lives of Indian citizens from the deadly Coronavirus outbreak. Janta Curfew was backed and observed by the whole nation and turned as a successful step in the battle against Coronavirus.
This is not the first time when Tendulkar has extended his support to any social cause recently Sachin Tendulkar became a part of the Road Safety World Series which saw legends like Brian Lara, Sehwag and many other cricketers participating in the series as their contribution to spread awareness about road safety.
However, the Road Safety World Series was suspended due to the increasing spread of COVID-19 all over the country. Coronavirus has led to the major sporting events across the globe being canceled or postponed due to the deadly COVID-19.
