The lucky ones who pulled off the highest fees in Auctions

IPL 2023 Auction witnessed mixed reactions as on one end where the majority of players went unsold some big names were among the lucky ones to win the highest sum of money as fees. England’s star all-rounder  Sam Curran was the most expensive purchase of the mini-auction after getting sold for a bid of Rs 18.50 crores. He was picked by Punjab Kings who recently broke ties with his last year’s captain Mayank Agarwal. He was picked by Punjab Kings & with whopping fees in his kitty, Curran surpassed South Africa’s star bowler Chris Morris (16.25) to become the highest-paid player in the history of IPL. The other major gainers in the IPL 2023 Auction were Cameron Green & Ben Stokes who were picked for jaw-dropping prices by Mumbai Indians & Chennai Super Kings. Green was acquired for 17.5 crores by Mumbai Indians while Stokes was acquired for 16.25 crores by CSK.

Nicholas Pooran was acquired for a whopping 16 crore by Lucknow Giants while Brook was sold to SRH for Rs 13.25 crore. SRH bought the services of Mayank Agarwal for a splendid 8.25 crore. Gujarat Titans grabbed the services of Williamson for 2 crores while pacer Shivam Mai grabbed a massive 6 crore from Gujarat Titans. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals paid 5.5 crores for Mukesh Kumar

The IPL 2023 Auction was no less than a boon for some players while it proved to be unlucky for the majority who failed to become a part of any franchise.
