Paksitan’s Cricket Sensation Babar Azam said that he wants to be compared only to the players of his country rather than Indian Captain Virat Kohli.
Pakistan’s limited-overs captain Babar Azam said that he only wants to be compared with the players of his country instead of India Skipper Virat Kohli. Over the last two years, the comparison made between Babar & Kohli has increased looking at the style & performance of both the batsmen.
“If you want to compare me with someone, I would like to be compared to Pakistan’s players, instead of Virat Kohli. We have had legends like Javed Miandad, Younis Khan, Inzamam-Ul-Haq. If you compare me to these legends, I will like it more and feel proud of my accomplishments,” Babar told reporters in a teleconference.
Babar Azam is currently enjoying first spot in the ICC T20I rankings while Kohli is at the top spot in ODI rankings. Azam is a part of 20 members Pakistan Squad that has traveled to England for the three-match Test series to be played against England in Southampton on 8th July. Pakistan & England will face each other in three T20Is but the dates for the series have not be revealed yet.
All the cricket activities have been called off since March due to the coronavirus pandemic. The test series between England & West Indies starting on July 8 will mark the resumption of International Cricket.
