It seems like problems between CSK & Suresh Raina has not been solved yet despite the latter clearing the doubts surrounding his sudden exit from the UAE last week.
Raina has also hinted that he would possibly return to the camp at suitable point in this season of IPL. However it seems like all is still not going well in the CSK camp. N Srinivasan also clearly stated on Wednesday that MS Dhoni will decide whether Raina will return to the squad or not.
As per the sources Raina was removed from CSK’s WhatsApp group after his quick decision to leave UAE & return to India. All these things started just after 13 members of the CSK camp including two cricketers Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad, were tested positive for COVID-19. Just after this new another news came of Raina pulling out of the entire IPL season & then Srinivasan’s interview hinted at a huge controversy prevailing between the cricketer & the franchise.
Several media reports made speculations about Raina’s decision to leave UAE included of him being unhappy & unsatisfied about the hotel room. However soon Raina revealed that he faced a personal tragedy which got him worried about his family & prompted him to return back to India.
However according to the report in a media portal, Raina has been removed from CSK’s WhatsApp group & now he has reached to the team’s franchise & has apologized for his conduct. “Once he left, he has been removed from CSK’s WhatsApp group. He has reached out to team-management including CEO, MS Dhoni and Coach Fleming and is looking for a chance to return,” the source said.
However CSK has not sought for any replacement for Raina as of now which is a good news for the superstar batsman. According to the sources, Kasi Viswanathan made it clear on Tuesday that the coach Stephen Fleming & Captain MS Dhoni are happy with the resources at the moment.
